Folio, 18-1/2 x 13 inches, unbound, with endpapers hand colored by the artist. in the finished portfolios the endpapers were pasted down, but not in this proof., which is complete, though not bound. Five drypoints, two hand-colored relief etchings,(which served as endpapers in the portfolio), each numbered A/P and pencil-signed, plus letterpress colophon leaf. Printed by Kathan Brown: "This book is a descriptive and analytical catalog of most of my paintings numbers 38 through 75. Limited to 25 copies...It is planned as the story of a day's journey from the mountains to the sea, to the sun and to home". According to the artist, not all 25 copies were completed. One copy only in WorldCat (NYPL), another is in the Crown Point Press Archive at the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. Item #32910
